‘MMB’, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’ and ‘the company’ shall mean Move My Bicycle Pty Ltd, Reg.nr 2016/170514/07 and ‘you’ or ‘the client’ shall mean any customer making use of our bicycle transport services.

Our services

We transport your bicycle to and from cycling events. Our service is aimed at cyclists who wish to fly to the race and not have to go through the cumbersome process of boxing your bicycle. Rather drop off your bicycle with us and we will transport it to your race without disassembling your bike. No box required – this is a specialized bicycle transport service, not furniture removals.

General terms

We confirm that the utmost care will be exercised during the transportation of bikes to and from events. We will not be liable for any action, damage, claim, cost or expense that may arise directly or indirectly as a consequence of any act and/or omission on our part, including our employees and/or agents (including negligence and gross negligence, except to the extent impermissible in terms of the Consumer Protection Act).

Dropping off bikes

It is not necessary to unclip the front wheel of the bike. We realise the value and costs associated with bicycles, and we guarantee that we will take care of your bike as if it were our own. Even so, all devices which are not permanently fastened to the bike, such as speedometers, cadence meters, heart rate monitors, water bottles, etc. should ideally be removed as to ensure that you do not potentially lose any of your expensive equipment.


This paragraph was inserted on request of the payment merchant. Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within no more than 7 days and confirmed by way of email. As you do not buy a physical product online we do not ship you anything. We do however transport your bicycle to the chosen event and back.

Refunds policy

The provision of goods and services by MMB is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability (ie we cannot deliver your bicycle to or from your chosen event due to reasons on our side), MMB will refund the client a pro rata net amount after costs, as determined by the company, within 30 days.


We treat our customers fairly. All cancellations received within a period of more than 30 days before the date of the specific race for which the booking was made, will be entitled to a 50% refund of the booking price paid for that specific race. Thereafter there is no refund – however, you may transfer the service to someone else, based on the discretion of the company. A R250 admin/transfer fee may apply.

Personal information

MMB shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, ‘personal information’ shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded here.

Your information

Through the act of booking a bike for transportation with ourselves, you give us express permission for to make use of the personal information obtained in order to contact you with regards to the booked event, future events, further business opportunities and database interests.

Payment options

Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard credit cards or by bank transfer into the MMB bank account, the details of which will be provided on request and during the checkout stage of the order process. When making use of EFT payments, kindly provide your order number as reference number on the payment.

Card security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for MMB via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway. PayGate is a licensed System Operator with the Payments Association of South Africa (PASA). PayGate is fully PCI compliant and uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to Paygate to view their security certificate and security policy.

Separate details

Please note that your customer details will be stored separately from card details. Customer details will be stored by MMB. Card details separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more details refer to PayGate.

Merchant currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Our responsibility

MMB takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

Insurance options

It is your  responsibility to obtain sufficient insurance cover for your bike while left in our custody. We are in no way involved with insurance cover for your items, other than potentially referring you to a third party who may assist you with same. In such an instance that agreement will be between yourself and the third party, not ourselves.

No liability

In addition to what is set out above we will not be liable for any claim and/or damages sustained as a consequence of any act or failure which is beyond our reasonable control and shall include but not be limited to, war, strike, riot, crime, or an event described as an act of God such as storms, flooding, earthquake, etc.

Our domicilium

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and MMB chooses as its ‘domicilium citandi et executandi’ for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, as Move My Bicycle Pty Ltd, Vrede Wines, R304, Koelenhof, Stellenbosch 7600. Kindly note that this is a wine farm and documents served should be signed for by a duly authorised member of the company.


MMB may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
